‘Blue Continuity’
Oil on canvas, signed, dated 1960. Title written in Wilson’s hand verso. Also numbers 3 and 9. A Redfern Gallery label titles the painting Deep End and says it was acquired by Mrs C. C. Martin on 21 November 1961.
Provenance: The Redfern Gallery. With Mrs Barbara Starns by 1966 and purchased by the vendor in the United States in 2014. The painting is the first colour illustration in the 1960 Redfern book ‘Avray Wilson’.
